[Resolved] Assign title to post?

  • Is it possible to create and assign a typical title to any post created using USP?

    Basically, I want user to submit tips, so there is no need for a title. When I display these “tips”, I like that they can also click on one and go directly to that post, however every post is titled “User Submitted Post”. Can I change that to default to something I want?

    Thanks in advance, great plugin!

    Yes, there are several ways to do that.. the easiest is to open the submission-form.php file and edit this line:

    <input name="user-submitted-title" type="text" value="" placeholder="<?php _e('Post Title'); ?>">

    like this:

    <input class="hidden" type="hidden" name="user-submitted-name" value="TITLE">

    and then replace TITLE with whatever static title you would like to use 🙂

    Hmm, that seems like it would be really straightforward and easy enough, however it didn’t work. It still gives the title User Submitted Post.

    The site, for what it’s worth, is http://www.dadfeed.com and in my USP settings, I have everything set to “hidden” except Post Content and I am using Form Style “HTML5 Form + Styles”.
