Assets not loading

After installing the plugin and adding the [wp-cars] shortcode, the information shows up, but two things don’t happen like they do in your demo. 1. Clicking “search” does nothing 2. The styles/JS are missing (looks like they aren’t called in WP head?).
How can I get this to work? This plugin seems really useful but I’m not sure why the assets aren’t being loaded.
