    I have recently made the switch from a different plugin to help site speed. Unfortunately, Hummingbird is unable to discover any assets to configure asset optimization? I get this error – “The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” which triggers an email to the admin explaining a fatal error has been found.

    I am thinking this is an issue with switching from the other plugin as page caching also does not work and returns this error – “Hummingbird detected an advanced-cache.php file in wp-content directory. Please disable any other caching plugins in order to use Page Caching.”

    Is this the right place to receive support?

    Hello @danielkolbo

    Hope you’re doing well!

    Please share here a full fatal error that is sent to your email address. This will give us more information about where it is coming from.

    Also please run a quick test for a conflict with another plugin:
    – Deactivate all plugins, besides Hummingbird and run the Asset Optimization scan
    – If all is well, start activating one plugin at a time, every time re-checking assets, until the issue will be back.

    Please make sure to have a site’s backup juts in case, so if something will go wrong, you can always restore it.

    Please advise,

    Kind regards,
    Nastia

    Hi Nastia, @wpmudev-support9

    Alright. I deactivated all plugins and Hummingbird was able to find files, still getting the error message though and am not able to optimize the files found. I then reactivated all plugins and re-checked assets and it was able to find even more files still with error.

    Please let me know what my next steps should be for troubleshooting. Thank you for your help!

    Best,
    Daniel

    @danielkolbo,

    The error that you are seeing at the moment is saying that curl is not enabled on your host. It could be blocked or misconfigured. If there are no security plugins that might be blocking that on your site, I would recommend contacting your host support with the above error. They should be able to help you get it resolved.

    Best regards,
    Anton

    @vanyukov,

    Ahh, I feared that was the problem. Thank you for the help I will reach out if the issue persists when curl is enabled.

    Best,
    Daniel

    Did it work for you
    Disable w3c total cache + automate
    I am with the scan, but it seems that the same does not work.
    How long does this process usually take?
