 * We have Hummingbird Pro on our WordPress site and want to utilize the Script
   Deferring via the Asset Optimization, however when we do that, it opens a modal
   that says “Checking Files, Hummingbird is running a test to measure your website
   performance, please wait.” and then it sits on 100% and doesn’t leave. While
   that’s happening, our site is inaccessible. We have already run multiple Hummingbird
   performance tests successfully so I believe this is a different “test”. Could
   you please advise on how to get the Asset Optimization feature to work appropriately?
   Thanks!

 * Hello [@rbeckstead](https://wordpress.org/support/users/rbeckstead/),
 * hope you’re doing good today! 🙂
 * This could be happening, if there’s already some issue in your website while
   loading (a broken CSS link, some JS error), or in case some other plugin is conflicting
   with the HummingBird scanning process.
 * In order to check for loading issues, please go to Asset Optimization page after
   you enabled _“dev tools”_. For Chrome, see:
    [https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/shortcuts/](https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/shortcuts/)
   [https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/console/](https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/console/)
 * If you don’t see any error in there, then you should proceed with a conflict
   test. Here’s how:
    – Backup your site (all files and database) so you can restore
   back, in case you lose any settings during the test. An alternative would be
   [a staging site](https://godaddy.com/help/whats-a-staging-site-12292). – Deactivate
   all other plugins (and mu-plugins) apart from HummingBird – Activate a default
   theme like TwentySeventeen – Activate Asset Optimization again [https://premium.wpmudev.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Support-Process-Support-Process.gif](https://premium.wpmudev.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Support-Process-Support-Process.gif)

 * Goodness, sorry, Dimitris. I was waiting for our developer to try this and then
   were out of town with our company. I will try to have him try this and let you
   know how it goes as soon as he does. Thank you for your quick replies.
