• Hi,

How do i stop this AskApache plugin from requesting the user to enter
a username and password when they click the logout link

If a user fails to enter the correct username and pass ( which is not the user’s actual login info)
Then it redirects me/the user to the page wp-login.php?loggedout=true
I thought this plugin was supose to prtect that area also

    Sweet Jesus

  • sorry, I’m still working on the upgrade… it sounds to me like it will work on your site, you’ll have to set it up right though, the WP-login mod for e,ample.

Np i turned it off because i don’t know how to stop it askin after logout

    I don’t think it’s protecting that wp-login.php right though?
Should they be even seeing that section any more if the mod is running
I installed another mod last nite login with ajax, so the user is not taked to the wp-login.php after logout u set the url they goto.
But Ask apace would be usefull

    Later

if you provide the curent askapache section from both htaccess files I can help more…

or it could just be that you haven’t read the docs which explain how the login is saved until the browser is closed.. you can’t log out of the htaccess sigh, its totally different than WordPress login, or any other authentication plugin.
