Regarding exporting a CSV file from Asana, that does seem to be possible by going to the project and then clicking on the Project Actions option and then selecting the Export option.
That being said, I believe I have found the cause of the issue with the projects not importing correctly from Asana and it has now been resolved. Just wanted to confirm via email if this works as expected for you now.
