  • You can give give users any membership level easily using the Membership section on their Edit User/Profile page.

    Hope that helps!

I am also facing the same problem.
As admin if i want to view the posts that are only visible to members like i have a membership name “Basic” and i created post and restricted to the users those are registered with “Basic” level.

Now, if i try to view this post then it shows me the error message that “This content is for Basic members only.” Register

Please let us know how to get rid of this. As i am admin i should have ability to view all the posts.

    Thanks

    Good day Sunil.

I was able to work around it on my own.

    Here is what you do:
    1. Create a membership level called ‘Admin Acces’ or which ever you like the most important thing is that it gives you admin access.
    2. For the price; ser it to $0
    3. For the duration; I set mine to 1000 years, which is simular to forever in internet language lol.
    4. Then create the level and subscribe to this level. Once you are done, go back to edit the level and select do not sure this level to new signups. You are essentially making the level only available to you…the admin.

Hope this helps. If not please feel free to reply.

    Best Regards.

    Thanks buddy,
Yea i know this solution but there should be the flexibility for admin as he/she is the owner of website, that’s why i suggested or you can say asked.. 😉

    Thanks

Sure no problem. And I completely agree. As admin we should have these privileges from the installation. But such is life.

    No problem buddy, anytime.

If you want, you can override the default access for a post by using the pmpro_has_membership_access_filter filter. So you could use that to check if a user is an admin, and then return true, overriding any other restrictions.

If you need further help setting that up, please consider becoming a PMPro member for our member support forums.
