It’s not common and I don’t think I’ve seen it myself, but I guess you could have a plugin that bypasses WordPress built in functionality and changes the state directly in the database. Or someone could have edited the database directly.
Simple History only logs post status changes that are done “the WordPress way”, i.e. using the built in functions in WordPress.
Yes i guess it was me, i guess i moved the article in the wordpress way from published to draft, but anything is logged.
I tried to move another article from published to draft, this operations does not seem to be logged.
Excactly how and where do you do this? On the post edit view or on the overview screen? Also, what version of WordPress do you have?

Probably i changed the state by selecting (in the overview page) quick edit, then changed the state
Great, thanks for the info. I think you may have found a bug – I can confirm that if I change the status on the overview page is does not show in the log for me. I will fix this in the next version of the plugin.
