    Having trouble with the arrow in the rest state under nav bar. I've gotten it to change to the purple color in hoover state, but not rest.

    I'm completely new to CSS, and basically tried to model it after the advice given here re: the arrow and page selected in nav bar:

    Here's my CSS:

    .navigation-main, .navigation-main ul, .navigation-main li {background:#C60052;}

    .navigation-main a {
    color: white;
    padding: 10px;
    position: relative;
    }
    .navigation-main li {
    background: #FFFFF;
    }
    .navigation-main li:hover {
    background: #FF714B;
    }

    .navigation-main ul > .current_page_item,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-item,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-post-ancestor,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-ancestor,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-parent,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-post-parent {
    background-color: #540045;
    }

    .navigation-main ul > .current_page_item:hover,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-item:hover,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-post-ancestor:hover,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-ancestor:hover,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-parent:hover,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-post-parent:hover {
    background-color: #540045;
    }

    .navigation-main ul > .current_page_item:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-item:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-post-ancestor:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-ancestor:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-parent:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-post-parent:after {
    background-color: #540045;
    }

    .navigation-main ul > .current_page_item:hover a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-item:hover a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-post-ancestor:hover a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-ancestor:hover a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-parent:hover a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-post-parent:hover a:after {
    border-top-color: #540045
    }

    .navigation-main ul > .current_page_item a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-item a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-post-ancestor a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-parent a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-post-parent a:after
    {

    .navigation-main ul > .current_page_item:hover a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-item:hover a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-post-ancestor:hover a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-ancestor:hover a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-parent:hover a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-post-parent:hover a:after {
    border-color: #540045;
    }

    .navigation-main ul > .current_page_item a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-item a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-post-ancestor a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-menu-parent a:after,
    .navigation-main ul > .current-post-parent a:after {
    border-color: #540045
    }

    Just add a semicolon; to that last border-color statement of yours :)

    Hope that helps!
