I’ve found many articles on this but none seem to point in the same direction, so here goes. I’m using the Arras theme with wp 3. I’m quite good at creating rollover effects using fireworks and dreamweaver (see http://www.tommyjoiner.com). however, I’m not sure how (and where) to put all that code into wordpress.
my goal is to create one big header graphic, with lots of icons and nav menu items, all with rollover image swaps, and then make that my header on the wp site. I have already hidden the default wp nav bar using css. In fact, I’d like to take it one step further and make the header graphic about 2,000 pixels wide with 700 pixels worth of content in the middle, to ensure that all browsers and monitors will see it centered and looking good. I’m quite capable of doing this in fireworks, but that will generate an html file and a folder full of slices. where do these all go? and how do I code this into the header.php file?
if there is already a forum entry on this, I’m happy to read it… but I couldn’t find anything that was written after about 2008.
