Support » Fixing WordPress » Argument #2 is not an array

  • I’m attempting to activate a new theme called Foliogrid but whenever I do so I get the following appear at the top of each page:

    Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in /home/mysite/public_html/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 777

    I’ve attempted to install on two different websites running on different servers and the same occurs on both.

    Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Looks like there’s an issue in the theme. Have you tried contacting the developer?

    You need to complete your constructor function with an id_base and a name.

    So if your running php 5.3 (or <) then:
    function __construct() {
    parent::__construct($id_base = ‘xyz_’, $name = ‘My Simple Widget’);
    }

    or if you are not using php 5.3 or < then use the name of your class.

    As you have paid for the theme, have you tried asking the vendor?

    If it is a php issue they might have one that works with a prior version, or a refund.

    Thanks for your help with this but my original question was posted over 7 months ago so I decided against using this theme.

    Grrr!
    Did not see that, it was re-activated by johnosmond, this happens when people are searching and add a reply to an historic post.

    We cannot edit our replies after a time limit, would be good if posts were locked after a month, save us wasting time answering posts that are historic!

    David 🙂
