[Resolved] "Are you sure you want to do this?" Message

  • When I attempt to use the “Restore from URI” function, I am prompted to enter the FTP login information for my target server and then that is followed by another screen that just says “Are you sure you want to do this?” along with a link that says “Please try again.” If I click on the link, I am taken back to the main WP Clone dashboard page and I have to start over again. In other words, the process is an endless loop that never restores the backup. I have tried recreating the backup several times but no success.

    rhombu and rana,
your site must be configured to upload plugins using the standard wordpress upload (NOT the “enter FTP information” dialog). I don’t know why some hosts don’t support this function. If you get additional information on this please let us know.
    thanks

okay the new version should fix this issue.
and yeah, you could restore the site manually using the files from the zip file, you just need to replace the wp-content directory on the server with the one inside the zip file and then import the database.sql file using phpmyadmin, and that’s it.
note: if your origin site used a custom table prefix, you’ll have to modify the wp-config.php file of the destination site to match that.
