  • first, it was a selfish power move to force the upgrade over christmas.

    but worse, you broke everything.

    it’s like a NEW SYSTEM.

so, all of my old posts are ONE WAY.

all of my new posts ARE ANOTHER?!?!?

    I don’t think so.

It breaks the simple lightbox plugin, among other things, but the way it changes the entire article structure means on any existing site, you now have TWO SITES.

Yes, that’s right. Any automated thing you want to do across all entries has to be coded to be done twice. Once for the old content and once for the new.

    No way.

0 stars if that were possible.

Have you tried the Classic Editor plugin? PLUGINS->ADD NEW. Install and activate and you’ll get the old editor back.

Thanks. Yes, I have and I’ve also edited the posts created with Gutenberg.

    It’s not just an upgrade.

It’s a fork without there being an actual fork.

WordPress post entries are fundamentally different post-Gutenberg.

Probably for the better, for new sites.

But not so good for legacy (current majority) of sites.
