• I’ve been using the free version of LWA without trouble but just for standard username/password validations. I decided to try out passkey logins because Google and Microsoft are going to start enforcing them. In Settings, when I set the ‘Enable Passkeys’ checkbox and clicked Save Changes the site crashes hard.

The error message is “Uncaught Error: Undefined constant “Login_With_AJAX\Passkeys\LWA_PRO_VERSION” in /var/www/member/wp-content/plugins/login-with-ajax/passkeys/passkeys.php:24″ which is indeed setting “$version = LWA_PRO_VERSION;”

which leads me to ask the question: are passkeys are PRO-only? If not then this seems likely to be a bug rather than a configuration/competing plugin issue.

I did not also check the “Enable as a 2FA method” checkbox nor is 2FA enabled.

    WP 6.8.1, PHP 8.3.6, LWA 4.4

    Thanks

  • yes the same issue, with the 7.4 PHP version works fine, after I upgrading 8 and above to 8.4 version the same issue.

Same issue here. Enabled passkeys because settings page said I could – but now I can’t get into the site at all to fix it. Recovery mode lets me deactivate the plugin but then I can’t reach the settings page either.

Looks like I have to go pro to get out of this – but I don’t want to pay for pro when I don’t need it. Is there a one-week trial pro option?
