If I don’t want a website looking “page” (I have a website), can I just blog away and have them keep going to the top?

Or, is a front page necessary for some kind of internal organizational thing?

Yes, you can just blog away 🙂

A front page is just a style thing. Some people like it, some don’t.

I agree with Ipstenu. It may be useful to use pages for any static content that you don’t want competing with sticky posts or your most recent blog update. That being said, it comes down to your preference.

Pages are great for ‘permanent’ type content.

I use it for my contact form. An about me page. Or on my personal site, if I write a really long article that sort of stands on it own, outside of my blog, that I think might drive a lot of traffic, I might make a page. But generally my sites tend to focus on just using posts.

Thank you for the input. It helped a lot.
