Support » Fixing WordPress » Are custom fields for posts search engine friendly?
4 years, 1 month ago
I make use of two custom fields at the end of each my posts.
Do search engines treat the content of custom fields in the same manner as the content of the post?
Search engine term = “Philosoraptor”
Post content = “Grumpy cat”
Custom field content = “Philosoraptor”
Based on the above simplified example, will search engines find my post?
Content generated from a custom field is just content. Search engines don’t know how it got on the page just that it is there.
I wasn’t certain that it was based exclusively on the parsed code.
Thanks for the logical confirmation.
