    Is there a way for this shortcode (or any other way)

    [archives]

    to display posts
    a) alphabetically
    b) and/or with numbering, I.e.

    1. Post x
    2. Post y
    …

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @spiros,

    You can use the shortcode [archives order=desc] or [archives order=asc]
    Check HERE for more shortcode possibilties.

    Hi, thanks, but that will display posts in reverse (posting) order, not alphabetically.

    Woops sorry, install the Extra Shortcodes plug-in and enter the shortcode [extra_archives type=”alpha”]

    Thanks! Great solution, sadly not possible on a wordpress.com hosted site (unless the team adds extra parameters to the shortcode).

    Hi,

    Well you can always download the plug-in and check the custom codes yourself. Add them manually to the functions.php and you should be ready to go 😉

    Due to the differences between the various site hosting plans offered at wordpress.com and the self-hosted and self-installed version of WordPress supported here, you should probably ask WordPress.com Support instead.
