Support » Fixing WordPress » Archives prevents proper sidebar alignment; and need border on sidebar

  • Hi there,

Our Archives page is set up so that its “template” is ‘archives’ as opposed to ‘sidebar’ or ‘default’ and on this setting (as you can see in link below) the sidebar is shoved all the way down to bottom of page. Can’t figure out how change the PHP for archive page (or whatever) to get it to line up properly.

Also – We’d like the sidebar to have a border on the left side all the way down to the bottom of page – so far I can only get the border to extend to end of widgets – suggestions?

    Thanks for your help!

  • My guess is that you simply need to arrange the archive template and move the secondary content (sidebar) into the same div as other pages.

Yes thanks – I did try that, but all it does is awkwardly place the sidebar on the right side….
