Seems like you are using standard categories so there could be an issue with the permalinks on your site or .htacess file.
Can you try re-saving your permalinks under Settings > Permalinks? It’s possible your site just needs an extra cache.
Do the categories work with standard posts?
Does it work if you switch to the default WP theme?

ps: The Has Archive option is only used if you want this page – https://style960.com/sites/gp/article/ – it’s not used for categories/taxonomies. So if you don’t want that main page you can disable the Has Archive setting.
Hi AJ,
I’ve tried resaving permalinks yeah. Switching to TwentyTwenty didn’t make any difference either. Just tried creating the same post type on a vanilla Total install, and adding post type categories as menu items will display the posts within each one. GP and TwentyTwenty both return ‘nothing found’.
Thanks,
Paul.
Still confused with this. With Total theme activated I’ve created a new post type ‘Articles’ that so far has one category ‘About’ – this category has one post in.
When I create a menu link to the About category, no posts found is returned?
Although on the last site I linked to the single post is not able to display the category it’s assigned to, even thought that’s correct in wp admin, and works from the main menu link.
Hi Paul,
This page – https://style960.com/sites/nersou/section/about/ – is showing items for me. What was the issue?
Usually when you have 404 errors with post types it’s going to be an issue with the site permalinks, .htaccess file or a conflict with something else on the site (for example if you have a page named about and a term named about this can cause a conflict).
By the way, if you are using the Total theme you can ask your questions on the Total forum or in a private ticket if you prefer then doing so here.
