  • Downloaded the cutline theme by Chris Pearson. Archives page never worked. I changed the permalink back to default. Edited a file with $is_apache = 1; downloaded the AA RewriteRules plug in. Read the Permalink section. I don’t understand anything I have done.

How do I get this page to work or should I just download another template. I am in love with this theme and would rather keep it. Please see my theme…

  • If I remember correctly, with cutline you need to activate (possibly after first creating a page titled “Archives”) the archive page by going to the dashboard, manage, pages, select edit for the page “Archives” and in the page template type drop down, select the Archives template and save the page. I don’t recall ever having to go any further than that to get it to work.

Just for fun I downloaded a fresh copy and installed it on my test box. The about and archive pages both worked for me immediately. Several versions are available, it’s possible mine was not the same as yours. Best of luck to you.
