# Archives dropdown

 * I would like to convert my Archives widget into a dropdown menu, as it is so 
   long.
 * Anyone?

 * Hey Jess,
    if the theme you are using supports standard [WordPress widgets](https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Widgets#Displaying_Widgets),
   you’ll find the _Display as dropdown_ option checkbox just below the widget title
   field. To access those options you might have to click on the widget’s right 
   drop-down arrow.

 * Thank you both so much – Turns out that the primary widget area (sidebar) is 
   embedded elsewhere in the code in this theme. I managed to re-add Archives, and
   Categories, to the sidebar and it works pretty well.
