    The archives tag get_archives() currently prints the unordered list output. I want it to stop doing that, and instead just output a break after each link. I tried reading the template documentation, but it just confused me. What paramteres would I add to the tag to do this?

    This is a neat convention that you'll find in many WP tags and plugin tags too. As it says in the Wiki:
    <?php get_archives('type','limit','format','before','after',show_post_count); ?>
    The important part is the 'before' and 'after' which by default is

  3. and
  4. .
    So, try:
    <?php get_archives('monthly',10,'other','','
    ',false); ?>
