I successfully duplicated our production site from a Linode server down to my local Windows machine. I am trying to set up a test server with a duplicate of the same production site on a separate Linode server. I am using FTP to upload the installer.php file and archive.zip file to an empty directory under public_html on our test server. When I upload the files and run the installer I consistently get the error: Archive config file not found in dup-installer folder. I get this error regardless of what duplicate package I use, whether I run the two-part install, whether I set the FTP to binary before uploading the files. When I try the manual extraction method, I get an error saying I need to delete several dup_installer files (the database file, json file, etc), but when I delete them it gives me Archive config file not found in dup-installer folder error once again. Any help that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Any chance you figured out how to solve it?

Are you guys using zip-based packages or DupArchive-based packages?

Could you guys do me a favor and submit a ticket to https://snapcreek.com/ticket with a quick description of your issue. Also, if you are comfortable could you also include on the ticket a link to a copy of the archive that is exhibiting the problem? (send.firefox.com, sharing via Google Drive or Dropbox are three easy ways) Thanks

P.S. When submitting the ticket please mention “Attention: Bob” so I’m the one who gets it

I figured my setup out. I’m not sure what configuration you’re using. The issue for me was in my server software settings. I’m using Apache on a LAMP stack; so in my server configuration settings, under the Directory heading for my web server (/var/www/ in my case) I set AllowOverride to All, leaving the Options and Require settings at default. This corrected the issue for me.

    Hi all.
Same issue with mine today. Please check your installation folder permissions also.
I’ve had created a new directory with different user and needed to apply permissions for www-data user.

    Hope this help.
