Hi, I am working on a translation project that includes Arabic. We are having difficulties with addresses and phone numbers. They seem to be skipped inside the translation editor for human review…and when I try the short code examples, I’m having trouble with phone number and numbers in addresses to display in English format reading direction. Instead they are displayed inversely for reading right-to-left.

So as an example, 703-333-1212; is displayed as 1212-333-703 even when I mark it to not translate (<span class=”no_translate”>).

The closest I have come is this inside page content (which works, the nobr tag is important here):

    [tp not_in="ar"]703-333-1212[/tp] [tp lang="ar" only="y"]<nobr>1212-333-703</nobr>[/tp]

And this inside of footer widgets (this also works):

    [tp not_in="ar"](703) 333-1212[/tp] [tp lang="ar" only="y"]<nobr>703-333-1212</nobr>[/tp]

BUT I’m not able to figure out longer strings like street addresses. So, I still have a problem.

See page referenced in this ticket. The english address is putting the building number at the end with the zip code. The nobr tags do not seem to help there.

Note: I tried to open a ticket on your development site but your captcha instructions were not working for me. Also tried to send an email via your website and that wasn’t working either.

    Thanks for your help, Janet

    Hi,

Sorry for not seeing this before, using the shortcode here is not the best idea, what you should have probably done was wrapping in no_translate and dir=rtl…

    Good luck,
