Registered users can’t actually do anything on your site except leave comments with the details they entered during registration. You have to promote them before they can even access any admin pages, like “write post”.
@maerk: but in some instances you want to be able to filter out everyone that is a registered user. There should be some kind of functionality to allow administrators to approve or deny registrants access.
