I have full admin access to the site but our web-developer has the files loaded on his computer so I’ll be sending any possible fixes on to him.
The Absolute Privacy plugin is loaded and I can see the correct “pending review” e-mail text on the plugin’s settings page, but the following is happening:
– The sign up form only shows “username” and “e-mail” as required fields while “password” is left as optional.
-When a new user fills out the form and clicks the “sign up” button, instead of being returned to a page with the message we drafted in the plugin saying, “your registration is being reviewed…” the message says something like “Thank you for registering you will be sent an email with your password.”
– Immediately after clicking the “sign up” button the user receives a “Welcome” email with their username, the password they set, and a login link. If the user attempts to log in they get an error message that says the password is incorrect, instead of one that says they have not yet been approved.
– Immediately after the prospective user clicks the “sign up” button, the designated admin receives an e-mail saying a new user has registered which includes a link to their information page, instead of a notification email saying the user is awaiting approval.
The registrant is listed as an “unapproved user” in the dashboard and they continue to get “incorrect password” messages until the admin approves the user.
How can we get the correct messages to display and the correct e-mails to go out to both the registrant and the admin?
