    Hi

I have hundreds of products in 2 main categories in woocommerce. I have a category of additional products that can only be purchased with a product from one of the main categories. I have successfully set this up with a number of test products.

When I do a product export the Meta: _dependency_selection_type column contains the value of category_ids – But the CSV export does not contain the category id’s I’ve specified in the test products. So when I re-upload these products, the dependency configuration is lost.

Is there a way of bulk applying the category ids on a CSV upload or to products in a whole category within WordPress Admin? Or does each product have to be done individually?

    Many Thanks

    Hello @traceydrain ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Currently, we do not have any integration code with the WooCommerce Importer/Exporter tool that would create a column with the dependant product/category IDs in the exported CSV file.

I can see that this has been requested once in the past, so there is an open issue about this in our GitHub repository: https://github.com/somewherewarm/woocommerce-product-dependencies/issues/37. Please keep in mind that we do not have any plans for adding new features to this plugin at the moment so I can’t share an ETA for this.

In case this is urgent for you it might be a good idea to consider implementing a custom coded solution. To help you with this, we recommend hiring a Developer. Our top suggestion is https://codeable.io/.
