Hi All! I read that from WordPress 5.6 or greater, WordPress core will have an application password feature. Currently, I have 3 WordPress websites, all with SSL/HTTPS, but still, I can’t see an application password section in the user’s profile. Just to mention, I’m able to access the application password section on my local setup just by using wp_is_application_passwords_available filter. I tried this same filter on my live website also (which ideally should not be required as they are on SSL/HTTPS), but it didn’t help. I’m facing this issue on my all three websites with WordPress 5.71. Please help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Do you perhaps use WordFence?
They have an option to disable that feature, so that could be the reason for it not showing.

Or (not sure if this is possible) perhaps the host disables it somehow.
Generally, if disabled, it is done for security reasons, so I could imagine that hyper-secure hosts would perhaps disable that for you as the user…

Hi @bedas ! Yes, it was Wordfence.
If you toggle the Wordfence > All Options > Disable WordPress application passwords checkbox and hit SAVE, you will see the feature appear/disappear on the profile page. Thank you for your help.

Has anyone had this issue without Wordfence? Mine dissapeared and I’ve deactivated all my plugins and nothing has brought it back.

Were you using wordfence before ? What made it disappears ? Also make sure HTTPS/SSL are not expired.
