# Application Error – Impossible to generate token

 * Hello,
 * I have just installed the plugin, the API key was generated, I have the green
   icon indicating that it’s running and the debug is clear. However when I want
   to generate a token to access the bruteprotect dashboard and click on generate
   token, i always get a pop up that takes quite a while to load, and then displays:
   “
   Application Error An error occurend in the application and the page could not
   be served. Please try again in a few moments. If you are the application owner,
   check your logs for details.”
 * Is that temporary? Is there another procedure to generate a token?

 * We had some server downtime that cause an “Application Error” screen to display.
   We are running at full steam again. Sorry for the inconvenience.
