My client runs a bricks and mortar shop backed up by his website. All products are delivered by one of his own delivery drivers. Due to the nature of his business he only takes orders that can be delivered within a specific area (determined by post codes). The delivery area is controlled by the WooCommerce “Table rates” plugin. Only people with a post code matching one of those entered into the plugin can place an order.

If I use ApplePay, will this ignore these settings and allow anyone to place an order?

    Thanks

    Hi @perchpole,

As long as the WooCommerce Table Rates plugin uses the correct filters to restrict the postal codes then there shouldn’t be any issue.

On the checkout page, since Apple Pay like all gateways is presented at the bottom of the page, your customer will already know if they are in a deliverable area by that time since they will most likely fill out their address before proceeding to Apple Pay.

If you offer Apple Pay on product pages or the cart, then the wallet will display a notice that the address cannot be shipped to (if it’s not in a deliverable area) once they open the wallet.

    Kind Regards,
