Apple provider token expiration life problem

    Hello,

    We’ve been experiencing a lot of troubles while trying to implement the Apple provider with your Pro plugin!

    The problem details are as follows:

    1) everything goes OK by following your detailed guided instructions for setup, and we are able to “Verify” and “Activate” the Apple provider;

    2) HOWEVER, the expiration life of the automatically created JWT is only for 1 hour from creation time!!! This makes is vitrtually impossible to use it on our life production website!

    3) Meanwhile, we are aware that according to the current Apple Developer Program policies the maximum life of the auth JWT can be NMT 6 months. You should definitely amend your PHP/JavaScript to aim to this maximum!

    Please issue ASAP an update to your plugin/pro plugin in order to amend this critical issue with Apple log in/sign up.

    I am sorry for your bad experience!

    For the authentication 1 hour expiration time is enough for us. But we added a new filter that you can use to adjust this expiration time.

    However please note that, this forum is for the Free version only!. And according to its rules we are not allowed to provide help for questions and problems related to the Pro Addon.
    But as I saw you have already opened a support ticket about this topic and there I provided more information about how this filter. Could you check my reply there, please?

    Hi @herbarex

    Meanwhile we created a fix for this entire JWT problem. And also made some improvements, so we try to generate a new JWT automatically every 5 months.

    We have released this new version yesterday, so feel free to update the plugins if you haven’t done it yet.

    Note: For the automatic JWT generation we will need some data, that was not stored in the previous version. So after the update you will be requested to generate new credentials inside Nextend Social Login!
