Support » Plugin: Stripe For WooCommerce » Apple Pay Button Dead

  • Resolved mjmoniz

I’ve noticed that the Apple Pay button is dead on the product page (desktop – safari). I click the button and nothing happens. However, on mobile, when clicked the Apple Pay button the correct dialogue screen pops up.

I’ve also noticed that in the shipping area, in both Apple Pay and Google Pay dialogue boxes, not all delivery options are listed. I have two plugins that populate shipping options and only the more expensive shipping options get populated. Canada Post options get dropped.

I’ve also noticed that neither Apple Pay nor Google Pay display on my cart page.

I’ve also noticed that the Apple Pay button doesn’t populate at the top of the checkout page, in the Express Checkout area, like Google Pay.

I’ve also noticed that two radio boxes populate on the payment page under the Stripe payment method and when I click on either Apple Pay or Google Pay a drop-down action gets initiated, but nothing else happens.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi @mjmoniz,

    Thanks for contacting us.

    1. I visited your site and you don’t have Apple Pay enabled on product pages

    2. You would need to activate those payment options in order for me to test. What plugins are you using for shipping?

    3. You are using a block cart template, which is most likely not firing the same actions that the standard WC cart template fires.

    4. That’s most likely a css issue where you have padding assigned to the div.payment_box.

You don’t appear to have the plugin activated so I can’t observe any of the issues you described.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi @mrclayton,

    Thanks for the speedy reply.

1 / 2. I deactivated the payment options as I didn’t want customers to use the payment options in TEST mode.

    3. Is there a fix coming for that? I’m under the impression that WC will be moving towards that kinda style cart/checkout in a future update.

    4. How can that be fixed if the payment box?

What is the best way for you to test these issues while still taking payment (just in case a customer uses stripe payment?)

Can we discuss this via email?
