I recently enabled Apple Pay and Google Pay on my website ( http://www.fistfulofbooks.com ) and a few customers have purchased products using one or the other. The funds from these payment methods are showing on the Woopayments page as pending even though the payment was made 4 days ago – any idea as to why the funds are not available? Ta.

Four days on a newer account is still within the normal window. Per WooCommerce’s own docs, the first payout on a new account only goes out after a 7 day waiting period that starts from your first successful payment, and after that funds sit in pending for a set number of days based on your store’s country before moving to available.

Full breakdown with the pending period chart is here: https://woocommerce.com/document/woopayments/payouts/payout-schedule/

If it stays pending past that window, the WooPayments team can look at the account directly since account specifics aren’t visible from the forum. https://woocommerce.com/my-account/contact-support/

    Hi @sar-photo!

Thanks for reaching out and for providing the details. I understand that the Apple Pay and Google Pay payments were successfully completed several days ago, but the funds are still showing as Pending in WooPayments.

This is expected behavior for WooPayments. Every WooPayments transaction initially goes into Pending Funds and moves to Available Funds once the pending period for your account’s country has passed. Only funds in the Available Funds balance are included in payouts to your bank according to your payout schedule. The Total Balance is simply the combined amount of your Pending Funds and Available Funds.

Also, for all new WooPayments accounts, the first payout is sent only after a 7-day waiting period.

The standard pending period depends on the country associated with your WooPayments account:

    • Australia / United States: 2 business days
    • Japan / New Zealand: 4 business days
    • UAE: 5 business days
    • Hong Kong / Singapore: 7 calendar days
    • All other countries: 3 business days

Therefore, if this is a newly created WooPayments account, the payments may still be within the applicable initial waiting period. Once the funds move from Pending Funds to Available Funds, they will be eligible for payout according to your payout schedule.

For more details you can use this guide: https://woocommerce.com/document/woopayments/payouts/payout-schedule/

If it stays pending past that window, the payment team can look at the account directly since account specifics aren’t visible from the forum. https://woocommerce.com/my-account/contact-support/.

    I hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I’ve had the Woopayments account for five years. Credit card payments are available almost immediately. I have only recently activated Apple Pay and Google Pay as a payment gateway.
