# Appearance > Customize

 * I’m new to wordpress and i need to update some content on our website however
   when i click appearance > customize it comes up with the following screen [(Click Here)](https://bluecoatschool.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Capture.png)
   Please could someone advise on how i can get the customize options back? I apologise
   if this has been covered before, but thankyou in advance.

 * Thankyou all for your useful advice. Upon further investigation I have discovered
   that the displayed ‘subpages extended’ when clicking on customize has the following
   message under the plugin section…
 * Warning: This plugin has not been marked as compatible with your version of WordPress.
 * Would you say this is the reason why the customize page isn’t displaying and 
   is the reason why I see this message?
