  • I noticed someone else has had this issue [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/apostrophes-not-being-parsed-correctly/] although you say you are not having an issue, I’m the 2nd person to have this issue within a week.

Since updating to WP 5.0. I type “It’s nearly” and on Instagram and Twitter it appears ‘It's nearly’ [i hope this doesn’t get converted auto by this website, between It and nearly, it shows & # 3 9 ; which I think is an alt code for ‘] on Facebook it’s fine. I’m wondering what could cause this issue.

The WordPress post on my page looks fine also, it’s only want SNAP has posted it to Twitter and Instagram.

    Can you help here?

  • Yeah, it did parse it and convert the code & # 3 9 ; into an apostrophe, dang it.

What that apostrophe is coming from? What do you have in message format? Are you sure you don’t have any other plugins that mess up your posts encoding?

We can’t replicate this. WP 5.0.
