# apostrophe

 * When I write a post in my blog the composer automatically changes any apostrophes(‘&
   apos &#0039 ) to right single quotes (’ &rsquo &#8217). (I’ve had to miss off
   the ‘;’ of the codes to get this post to display properly).
 * Can this behaviour be changed? I’m quite happy with standard apostrophes thank
   you.

 * [This plugin](http://dev.wp-plugins.org/wiki/TextControl) will allow you to selectively
   remove the filters that perform those conversions. I think the one that does 
   the apostrophes is wptexturize.
