 * I just successfully installed wordpress and am now working on getting the template
set up. I’m having one problem, however. I used the same exact CSS coding on
all of my pages, but for some reason, on my WordPress pages, the apostrophes
look strangely like commas. This doesn’t happen on any of the other pages I have,
with the same coding, and I’m sure that I’m using the same font and CSS.. Any
suggestions as to the root of this odd problem? Is it just a wordpress thing
or am I just going insane?

 * Oh, and it also does something odd when I use the three consecutive dot… thingie…
   yeah… these… that… are… after… each… word… And another thing, is there a way
to make the br tags less wide? It seems like they’re huge to me. Those two are
another two things that aren’t due to my CSS. Just wondering if anyone knew about
   that either.

 * I don’t get why I should love texturize. I hate curly quotes! What’s the easiest
   way to disable it?

 * **rubyji**: I made a mini-plugin, [wpuntexturize](http://www.coffee2code.com/archives/2004/06/27/plugin-wpuntexturize/)
that turns off automatic curly-quoting (but DOESN’T turn off wptexturize completely).
If you want wptexturize off completely, try the mini-plugin I mentioned [here](http://wordpress.org/support/4/11723#post-2),
though you probably want to remove the `remove_filter('the_content', 'wpautop');`
   line mentioned in it.

 * I’m not too happy neither with wptexturize, especially as I paste a lot of code
in my blog and it fux0res it up (curly quotes in particular)
    I think I’m going
to tweak it so that it only applies when I want to.
