I LOVE free online libraries of obscure antiquarian (public domain) books. I’ve found some amazing books I’d like to excerpt, link, reference, write about on my site. Ideally, I’d include at least some of the pages extracted, and/or a quick way for readers to see or download the rest of the book. Any ideas on the best way to do this?
I see on Open Library that there’s an API, which is totally confusing to me:
http://openlibrary.org/developers/api … Do I need something like this? (I had to look up what an API is, so that tells you something.)
(Should I consider “mirroring” some of these resources?)
Thanks in advance!! 🙂
