[Resolved] API throwing 404 with User-Friendly Permalinks

I am attempting to connect to JSON-API 1.1.1 using the user friendly permalink api paths. Unfortunately while the query paramater version works, the path param version throws 404 errors.

    e.g. http://server/wordpress/api/info fails
    http://server/wordpress?json=info resolves correctly.

I’ve tried both wordpress 3.6.1 and 3.3.1, and each combination of the common permalink styles, all of which fail.

Has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it?
The readme doesn’t specifically mention it, but is there a specific user friendly permalink style that should be used?
    Thanks,
    Gavin.

It appears that the issue is not so much with the plugin, but with the server – none of the user friendly permalinks are working correctly.
