 * I’ve gone thru all the install steps and the Facebook API Status says Not Connected.
Even after clicking Save Changes, Renew Access Token and Renew Cache, the stays
as not Connected. I don’t see any error messages in IE or Chrome. I also rebooted
the web server with no change. The Facebook App page does not show any errors
either. Is there somewhere I can see the application logs to determine whether
it is trying to connect? Is there specific firewall ports that need to be opened?
What’s my next step in troubleshooting?
 * thanks,
    Peter

 * From what I have been researching, something seems to have changed at Facebook
that essentially causes other widget/plugins to only work sometimes. Facebook
published their own widget … which also doesn’t currently work. Or at least they
aren’t working with the public group page that I’m trying to connect to.

 * Same problem here but I managed to get it to work.
    During installation it told
me to use the id of the page, i.e. the name you gave the plugin. I used the solution
that BillKilgallon provided in another post on this forum and that is to use
the number in the fb url of your page. In this case the page url is: [http://www.facebook.com/browse/page_fans/?page_id=480520201973084](http://www.facebook.com/browse/page_fans/?page_id=480520201973084)
I used the last 15 digit number in the ‘Facebook user id, page id or slug’ box.
Then ‘Test/Renew Access Token’ and it should work again. Make sure you are using
the correct login on fb while doing this but it should tell you to change.

 * Thanks Mike. I was using the page id as well, but still had the problem. Are
you connecting to a group page? Do you mind sharing the FB URL? My group URL
   is [http://www.facebook.com/groups/161140516896](http://www.facebook.com/groups/161140516896)
whereas most the URLs in other examples don’t have the “groups” in the middle.

 * Hi Peter, this page doesn’t have the word Group in the URL so that might be different.
    Good
to know that’s the issue because I wanted to use this same plugin on another
website in combination with a group that has the word Group in the URL. I’ll
keep an eye out if by that time this bug has been fixed.

 * I assume its a simple fix unless Facebook is somehow blocking access to group
sites. Unfortunately I don’t know Perl otherwise I assume the scripts could be
updated to add “groups” to the URL.
