 * Hi, I had plug in the WordPress.com Stats. After I key in my API key that from
   my wordpress.com blog, it shows:
 * “WordPress.com Stats
    The API key “xxx” belongs to the WordPress.com account
   of “xxx”. If this is not your account, please re-enter your API key.
 * According to the WordPress.com database, **this API key is already associated
   with at least one self-hosted blog**. You can add this as a new blog on your
   WordPress.com account or replace an existing blog and inherit its stats history.”
 * I only have one self-host account, I think my API key is hack by someone else
   or do I missing something?
 * How do I solve this?
 * Thank you.
 * Regards,
    Chasez

 * Is it listing your wordpress.com account? I know that the first time I entered
   my API key is said it was associated with my wordpress.com blog that you get
   by default with any account sign up

 * Thanks for your replied.
 * Yes, that’s my account. I used the API key at the first time for Akismet plugin
   and it works.
 * But this time, second time failed.

 * HMM that’s weird. I am using the same key for a number of sites that I have built/
   manage and some that are clients entirely.

 * It’s solved. I just add or join them together. “**You can add this as a new blog
   on your WordPress.com account or replace an existing blog and inherit its stats
   history**“
    This mean you can switch the blog that you like to work with.
 * That’s it.

 * Hmmm, same problem here — not resolved for me yet.
 * It gives me 2 choices,
 * > 1. Add new blog to my account
   > Do this if this blog is new or has never been
   > associated with your API key. This blog will be added to your WordPress.com
   > account.
   > 2. Replace an existing blog
   > Do this if you want this blog to take over the
   > stats history of another blog associated with your WordPress.com account. This
   > is appropriate if you have reinstalled WordPress, changed hosts, or restored
   > your blog from an export file.
 * Inside #2 it lists 2 of my blogs that already use this service. I do not want
   to “Replace” either. When I try the #1 “Add new blog to my account” button, it
   does not work and says API not recognized.
 * chasez123 did you use the second option? Can you still see your old blog stats
   too?
