    I removed this plugin and now when I re-activate it – the API key that is being sent to email will not save in there. I have cleared all cache. I haven’t added any new plugins since this plugin was initially installed and activated. So I don’t know why it won’t “reactivate” the API key.

    When you delete the plugin all the associated data is removed from your database, if you re-install it and try to recover the previous API key the plugin sends a request to the API service to send the key to the email address used during the registration.

    The data sent to your email is not sent to the plugin during the recovery for security reasons, you have to copy the key from the recovery mail and paste it manually in the form that appears in the plugin’ settings page once you click the “Recover” button.

    You can also opt to generate a new API key if you prefer.
