• **This is for all newbie**

Hi, is anyone got the same problem?

When i tried to get an API key from the link on BW reCAPTCHA plugin settings (https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/create) it appears “Not Found – Error 404”. First i thought maybe i’m on maintenance mode because is a new site, then i deactivated the maintenance mode, but i still found the same problem. So i went to this BW reCAPTCHA support forum to found some solution for my problem, but it seems no one have posted a solution on the first page or maybe no newbie here 🙂 (i didn’t browse another page cause it posted several months or years a go).

Then i read carefully and found a clue that maybe help me, why the hell the API Key URL have “Google URL”. Khang Minh the Author of this plugin is a Betterwp.net team, so why he use “Google URL”. I knew some plugin development build with open source code, especially the free ones, then i suspect BW reCAPTCHA too. So i go to google search and put a keyword “Google Recaptcha”, some search result came out and i choose “reCAPTCHA: Easy on Humans, Hard on Bots – Google” which URL is likely the same as BW reCAPTCHA plugin settings (https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin)

    So i did this :
    1. Login to your gmail account first before click https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin, or you can login to your account after click above link.

    2. Simply fill the Registration form :

    • Label : this field is for your site name
    • Domains : this field is for your domain name, it’s can be fill with many domain one per line, but i suggest to register one label for one domain, why? keep read this.

    3. Once you registered your domain name then you’ll be redirect to page that have the key created. Simply copy and paste your key to your BW reCAPTCHA plugin settings.

    Copy and paste this :

    • Copy Site Key on your Google Recaptcha page and paste on Public Key at your BW reCAPTCHA plugin settings.
    • Copy Secret Key on your Google Recaptcha page and paste on Private Key at your BW reCAPTCHA plugin settings.

    4. Voila! It’s done. Then test, is it work? Log out from your WP Admin, you’ll find the recaptcha form appear.

    5. On Tutorial no. 2, i suggested to register one domain for one label, why? Because on your Google Recaptcha page have Analytic Feature, it will display :

    • Requests passed & failed : This chart shows how many times someone passed or failed a CAPTCHA on your site each day.
    • Spam index : This figure depicts a chart that tracks abusive activity on your site.

So, if you would not being confuse to have many domain on one analytic report, then you can register many domain names for one label. (Note: i haven’t test the analytic yet, cause my new site is not run for public yet (under maintenance mode).

**Plugin Tested so far on WP Login form with WP 4.0.1 version**
