# API key does not work

 * I’m using WordPress.com Stats for a year without any problems.
 * Today i have to disable my plugins. After i enable the WordPress.com Stats plugin
   it asked me to enter the API key.
 * When i enter the key the following error is showing up:
 * **Error from last API Key attempt:
    parse error. not well formed
 * I’m sure that i’m using the right key. What’s the problem over here?
