    Hello there,

Sorry to hear you are having this issue. There are a lot of reasons that our plugin could have an issue connecting with MailChimp. The most common is a conflict with another plugin, or theme.

To search for conflicts, please follow these steps.

    1. First please deactivate all plugins except Optin Cat and see if the issue persists.
    2. If the issue is resolved, reactivate your plugins one by one, testing after each to see if the issue returns.
    3. If no conflict is found among your plugins, try reverting to a default WP theme like ‘Twenty Sixteen’, or ‘Twenty Seventeen’, and see if the issue is resolved.

    Head here for detailed instructions:

Let us know your detailed results to the above steps, and we will see how we can help from there.

    Hi !

Well, i tried all what you said, nothing has changed… 🙁
The red cross is still there.

    Mail Chimp’s API Key is like this, isn’t it ? : 36905a0fd86bcdd8c3cd3251ba6a441b-us18

    Hello again,

I would not suggest sharing your MailCHimp API key.

That is all anyone needs to integrate with your account, and start adding, deleting, or editing subscribers. I would recommend deleting this immediatly.

That does however look like a valid MailCHimp API key though.

Can you please confirm with me that you had all plugins disabled, and and default WP theme enabled, and the issue persisted?

If so please let us know what PHP version your site is using.

Also, please make sure you have created at least one list in MailChimp, and try again.

It may also be worth finding another plugin that uses the MailChimp API, and seeing if you have similar issues. Your host could be blocking communication with their servers for some reason.

Get back us with that info, and we’ll keep working with you on this.

    Hope to hear back.

    Hi !

This is not my API Key don’t worry.

    I confirm.

My PHP version is 7.3 and a list was already created.

Do not work with another plugin : “Error connecting to Mailchimp: 503 Service Unavailable”

According to the other plugin’s developers suppoer plateform, it seem my shared IP could be blacklisted.
I asked my webhosting and they say, obviously, that the IP adress is not blacklisted…

I don’t kno what to do more -_-“

    Hello Again,

Sorry for the delay in response.

I would suggest contacting MailChimp support about this if possible. It defintly sounds like the issue is with your hosting settings, or your site, and not the plugins themselves.

Hopefully MailChimp can see the connection attempts on their end, and provide further details on why it’s not going through.

Let us know if you make any progress.

    Regards.
