 * I keep trying to get an api key by email on one of my sites. I get a message
   saying that one is on the way but I have yet to receive one.

 * I did not quite understand the issue, are you referring to the process to generate
   a new API key or the process to recover one that was previously generated?
 * If you are having issues generating a new key then you can request one sending
   an email to [info@sucuri.net](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/api-key-by-email/info@sucuri.net?output_format=md)
   specifying the domain name and email address that you want to associate to the
   key. If you are having issues recovering one that was previously generated then
   send the same information to the same email plus a proof that you are the owner
   of that website, if you do not provide this proof then we will believe that you
   are an attacker trying to get the key of another user.
 * Note that I do not have direct access to that email address but one of my co-
   workers will assist you with your inquire or forward the email to me if necessary.
   Let me know if you need more information.

 * The host does not allow me to generate a key.
 * I optioned to have a key sent first to my client, the owner, who never got an
   email with an API key and then tried to have one sent to my own email address.
   I selected the option several times. Oddly, right after I posted this message,
   I got an email with an API key.
 * I am obviously not an attacker trying to get a key of another user. I’m a developer
   with a history here on WordPress.Org. Thanks.

 * I understand, please send the address that you used to generate one of those
   API keys or both to [info@sucuri.net](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/api-key-by-email/info@sucuri.net?output_format=md);
   ask to forward the email to the lead developer and they will send it to the person
   with access to the server _(I do not have access there for security reasons)_;
   he will search the key that is associated to the email and send it to you.
