# API key

 * I have an installation on my own domain and Akismet keeps telling me
    “Akismet
   is almost ready. You must enter your WordPress.com API key for it to work.” When
   I enter the link to [http://socialcrime.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?page=akismet-key-config](http://socialcrime.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?page=akismet-key-config)
   so I can enter my key it just keeps going back to the config page.

   be given your API key.

 * I was given it in both an email and its on my wordpress account page, just in
   my own personal wordpress theres nowhere to input it.
