   key for each WP installation?

 * Is there a reason why the API key cannot be available on a wordpress.org profile?
   It’s really irritating having to go though a different wordpress.com account 
   to activate plugins on a wordpress.org account.

 * Because Automattic and WordPress.ORG are two seperate animals. Yes you can get
   the plugin here but the service comes from a commercial company outside of here.

 * I use Akismet too but [Cookies for Comments](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cookies-for-comments/)
   easily picks up 75% of my spam. Between that and [Bad Behavior](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bad-behavior/)
   you might get good spam filtering without Akismet (or the API key).

 * Pls help. My blog had been spammed from “.ru” emails everyday.
 * I have download Akismet and Stat but I could not find my API to activate it. 
   In the WP user admin section, and under my blog name, there is no API no.
