Since a few days I get the following big message box which I can’t click away.

Better Font Awesome

API Error
The attempt to reach the jsDelivr API server failed with the following error: 404: Not Found (URL: https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/FortAwesome/Font-Awesome@5.15.2/advanced-options/metadata/icons.yml)

Don’t worry! Better Font Awesome will still render using the included fallback version: 4.7.0

Solution
Dies kann das Resultet eines temporären Server- oder Verbindungsproblems sein, das in Kürze gelöst wird. Sollte das Problem allerdings weiterhin besteht, erstelle bitte ein Support-Ticket im Plugin-Forum und gib dabei die oben aufgeführten Fehler an.

Till the moment it popped up it worked fine and I didn’t change anything.

I couldn’t find a solution here in the forum, so I answered to a topic where someone had the same problem.

But instead on helping someone named Yui only archived my post 🙁

Yui did this to some other people as well!
Seems, he is not part of the solution…

I changed this plugin with plugin Font Awesome and now everything is OK (for now). 🙂
The problem has been going on for too long and I don’t know when and if it will be fixed.

You don’t need to change anything with this plugin “font awesome”?

Uninstall Better font Awesome, install new plugin. All OK. 🙂

I meant the syntax … ist this the same?
Otherwise I have to change several scripts who ust this font.

Oh, I rated the plugin (with 1 of 5 stars and wrote “big problem + bad support” and got an answer from Mickey Kay (Developer):

English:

So sorry about the frustrations Merlin. Totally understand. I’m working on a quick fix as we speak, and have been swamped with work and parenting duties. I am getting some extra support QA-ing the changes today/tomorrow and hope to have a fix out ASAP.

Tut mir leid wegen der Frustrationen, Merlin. Verstehe vollkommen. Ich arbeite gerade an einer schnellen Lösung und bin mit Arbeit und Erziehungspflichten überfüllt. Ich bekomme zusätzliche Unterstützung bei der Qualitätssicherung der Änderungen heute / morgen und hoffe, so schnell wie möglich eine Lösung zu finden.
