 * Hi, I don’t see my api code anywhere, can someone help. I looked where it said,
   and don’t see one at all.

 * Is this for Akismet? If so, you need to first create a [wordpress.com](http://wordpress.com)
   account. Once you’ve done that and are logged into it (that would be your wordpress.
   com account), check under Users > Your Profile.
 * If you meant something else, please provide some details.

 * I had the same problem, because I have a separate webhost. I got another WP account,
   found the API key, but akismet will not accept the API key.

 * Depends on what you mean by “the account I already have.” If you meant your member
   login here on the WordPress support forums, no.
 * To be clear, wordpress.com DOES NOT EQUAL wordpress.org. You are on wordpress.
   ORG right now. The Akismet API is connected to having an account on wordpress.
   COM.
 * mod_mephisto, I’ve seen a number of users claim they had to wait a few days before
   their API key started working. You could try that. In any case, you can contact
   the folk behind Akismet:
